Widget Authors

Widgetop brings Apple Dashboard widgets to the web so now you can create and publish widgets that can run everywhere. All you need is familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

If your thinking of creating a new widget or submitting an already created Apple Dashboard widget you previously authored, please review our Quick Guide to check if your already developed widgets will work without any required changes.

Please review our Developer Guide and Widget Test page to find out how to get your widget running on Widgetop. Most Apple Dashboard widgets will run without any changes.

To Submit a widget you need to be logged in to use our Submit Widget form whichs uploads your widgets and puts it in the wiget gallery.

Once your widget has been uploaded it will be tested by Widgetop and then hosted on the Widgetop website. Please review our terms and conditions about hosted widgets in the Widget Developer Submission section.

You can place an "Add to Widgetop" image button on your personal developer web pages to quickly launch your widget onto the Widgetop web desktop and place it in the users favorites list. Please view our image button guidelines or look at the HTML snippet code generator found in the widget upload console.
